Remembering Corporal Henry C. Sparks of Company A of the Fifteenth Kentucky

Henry Sparks was born in Shelbyville, Kentucky in 1839, the son of Jonas Sparks and Paulina Postlethwaite. A farmer, Sparks was 5’9 ½”, with a light complexion, gray eyes and dark hair. Sparks was killed at the Battle of Perryville on October 8, 1862 and is presumed buried on the battlefield.
