Harry Hall was born in Boone County, Indiana. He was a twenty-six-year-old farmer. Hall was 5’8 ½”, with a light complexion, gray eyes and dark hair. Hall was wounded and captured at the Battle of Stones River, December 31, 1862. Hall arrived in Richmond, Virginia on January 16, 1863, transferred to City Point, Virginia on January 26 and arrived at Camp Parole, Maryland the next day. Hall was at Camp Chase, Ohio on March 22, 1863. Corporal Hall was transferred to the Veteran Reserve on January 15, 1864. He died at his home near Cruppers in Shelby County on July 7, 1887 and is buried at Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
