Conrad Ritter was twenty-three at the time of his enlistment. He was 5’8”, with a fair complexion, gray eyes and sandy hair. Private Ritter was slightly wounded at the Battle of Resaca, May 13, 1864, and was wounded again at the Battle of Peachtree Creek on July 21, 1864. At the time the unit was mustered out in Louisville, he was absent in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
