Remembering Private Henry V. Leffler, Company A of the Fifteenth Kentucky


Private Henry Leffler was born in Washington County, Indiana. Leffler was twenty-two years old at the beginning of the war; he was a farmer. Leffler was 5’7”, with a light complexion, gray eyes and light hair. Private Leffler died March 18, 1862, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, of typhoid. He is buried in Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelby County.
