The colored baseball fans were treated to a fine exhibition of semi-professional ball playing yesterday at the Louisville Unions Park, Twenty-eighth and Broadway. The game was between the Louisville Unions and the New York Cuban Giants, colored teams. Over 1,500 people saw the Unions go down in defeat for the first time this season. It was seen in the first inning that the visitors outclassed the locals. The in and outfield played fine ball on the Giants side and during the last inning they closed in on the Unions, not a man playing in the field. Rogers, at short, was hurt during the first part of the game, and from that time on the locals seemed to lack spirit.

The teams will play to-day at 3 o’clock at the same park. The score:

Innings 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

Cuban Giants 1 0 0 7 0 1 2 1 0 12

Lou. Unions 0 0 0 0 3 1 0 0 0 4
