Remembering Corporal William Orchard, Company A of the Fifteenth Kentucky

Corporal William Orchard was a twenty-seven-year old carpenter, born in Hawnesdale, Pennsylvania, the son of William and Emma Orchard. Orchard was 5’8 ½” with a light complexion, hazel eyes and dark hair. Orchard was killed at the Battle of Perryville on October 8, 1862 and is buried in Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelby County.
