Alfred Baskett was born in December 1837, the son of John Baskett and Sarah Allen Miller. He was born in Shelby County, Kentucky. A carpenter before the war, he was 5’7 ½” and had a light complexion, gray eyes, and light hair. Private Baskett was discharged on January 24, 1863 in Murfreesboro, Tenneessee, on a certificate of disability based on an inguinal hernia. Baskett died on April 23, 1910 of apoplexy at the National Military Home in Dayton, Ohio.

Unfortunately no, I've never seen a Company photo for any of the companies. I've seen photos of perhaps 5-10 Privates and maybe another 10 officers, and there's at least one post-war photo of the Curran Pope Post of the GAR, which mostly consisted of Fifteenth Kentucky veterans. Sure wish the photos were more common!
My gg grandfather was pvt. Thomas W. Myles. Co. A 15th. I have no idea what he looked like. Is there any chance there was a Company photo taken some time?
