Remembering Private Dennis McCrystal, Company A of the Fifteenth Kentucky

Dennis McCrystal was a thirty-three-year-old shoemaker, born in Ireland; he was 5’6”, with a dark complexion, gray eyes, and dark hair. He married Emily Gasway on September 30, 1857 in Shelby County, Kentucky. Private McCrystal deserted October 31, 1862, at New Market, Kentucky.
