
John Marche was born in Washington, D.C., and was thirty years old and a painter at the time of his enlistment. He was 5’10”, had a light complexion, blue eyes, and light hair. Private Marche was discharged January 12, 1862, in Huntsville, Alabama, on a certificate of disability based upon hemorrhoids.
