Michael Moore (no, not that one – the other one) was born June 24, 1821 in Boher, County Limerick, Ireland. Moore was 5’4”. According to the mustering officer, Moore had a “healthy” complexion, blue eyes and dark hair. Private Moore reenlisted and was transferred to the Second Kentucky Cavalry on December 27, 1864, in the final days of the Fifteenth Kentucky’s tour. Moore married Katherine Guinan and they had four sons: Daniel V. (1857-1885), Timothy (1858=1887), John T. (1861-1890) and Frank N. (1866-1941). Moore died on April 12, 1912.
