Private Orville Branham was born in Union County, Kentucky. He was a twenty-year-old farmer at the time of his enlistment. Branham was six feet tall and had a light complexion, gray eyes, and dark hair. Private Branham was killed at the Battle of Perryville, October 8, 1862, and is presumed buried on the battlefield.
