The Louisville Unions’ Upcoming Series

The Standard Giants, formerly known as the Rock City Unions, of Nashville, Tenn., a colored baseball team, will play a series of games here with the Louisville Unions, colored, on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, May 2, 3 and 4, at the Unions’ Park, twenty-eighth street and Broadway. The Giants, of Nashville, comprise one of the best colored teams in the South, having won from the leading teams in Atlanta, Birmingham, Paducah and New Orleans. It will be the first time they have been here for four years, and much interest is being manifested among colored fans. The Unions have a strong team and have won four straight games this season. The old League Park grandstand is being covered and seats are being repaired for the coming game. The line-up:
